Delta can display full Hi Def Stereo
movies from a single PC using it's dual
output configuration to drive left &
right eye images.
In Passive Stereo, a projector per
eye is used, with either non a depolarising
screen & polarised glasses, or new
technology such as Infitec, which does
not require a special screen.
Passive stereo has the advantage of
using cheap, throwaway glasses, ideal
for large audiences with high throughput.
In an Active Stereo system, both the
Delta server & the projector have
to be capable of a doubled refresh rate,
where each eye's image is shown alternately
at a high speed so that flicker is minimised.
Active stereo means a single projector,
and no need for a special screen, though
the active shutter glasses are more
expensive than passive.
